Referrals

The DuckTask referral program — earn from friends you invite

Quick rule: share your link → friend signs up → you earn forever, they earn the same as everyone else. Win-win, no catch.

Most rewards platforms run "refer a friend" promotions as a one-time signup bonus and nothing more. DuckTask treats referrals as a long-term partnership: when someone joins through your link, the platform pays you a permanent percentage cut of everything they ever earn. This guide explains how the program works, where to find your link, what counts as a valid referral, and how to grow a referral network without spamming.

How the commission works

When a referral completes a task and earns coins, DuckTask credits an additional commission to your balance — paid by DuckTask, not deducted from your referral. Concretely:

  • Your referral completes a $1 survey. They receive their $1 (10,000 coins) in full.
  • DuckTask also credits you a percentage of that $1 from its own offer-network margin. You see it appear in your balance with a clear "Referral commission" label.
  • This continues forever. There is no day-90 cutoff, no rolling window, no maximum per referral.

What counts as a valid referral

A valid referral is someone who:

  1. Clicks your unique referral link, AND
  2. Creates a brand-new DuckTask account from that landing (the link sets a referral cookie which is honoured at signup), AND
  3. Verifies their email so the account is fully active.

The following do not count:

  • An existing DuckTask user clicking your link — referrals are only set at signup, never retroactively.
  • An account that signs up but never verifies email or completes a task.
  • An obvious self-referral (same device fingerprint, same IP, same payout method as the referrer). DuckTask's anti-fraud rules void self-referrals automatically and the commission is reversed.
  • Accounts created using disposable email services or VPN/proxy chains that look like fraud farms.

Where to find your referral link

Sign in to DuckTask and open the Referrals page from your account menu. You'll see:

  • Your unique link — a short URL with your username baked in, e.g. ducktask.xyz/r/yourname. Share this anywhere.
  • Your referral count — how many people have signed up under you so far.
  • Total earned from referrals — the lifetime sum of referral commission credited to your account.
  • A leaderboard — the top referrers on the platform.

Where (and how) to share your link ethically

The best referrals are people who would have used a GPT site anyway. Targeting people who are already looking for online earning is more effective than spamming general audiences, and it avoids the friend-relationship cost of pushing something they don't want.

  • GPT and earning subreddits. Communities like r/beermoney, r/SignupsForPay, r/SwagBucks, r/Freecash discuss platforms constantly. Posting your link with no context will be removed; sharing your experience with DuckTask, including a referral link in your bio or signature, lands much better. Always read each subreddit's referral rules before posting.
  • YouTube and TikTok. Honest reviews — what you earned, in how long, what payouts felt like — are the highest-converting referral format. Don't fake screenshots; real proof outperforms.
  • Your own network. A short message to a friend who's already complaining about their part-time job ("hey, I've been making side cash on this thing — here's my link if you want to try") works far better than mass-DM blasts.
  • Discord servers about earning. Many GPT-focused servers have a dedicated referrals channel where you can drop your link without spamming the main chat.

Where NOT to share

  • DuckTask's own social channels and Discord. Posting your link in DuckTask-run spaces is treated as spam.
  • Comment-bombing unrelated content. Dropping your link under random YouTube/TikTok videos that have nothing to do with earning destroys conversion and gets links flagged.
  • "Get rich quick" pitches. DuckTask is a real GPT site, not a scheme. Promising people they'll get rich is misleading and will get them (and you) burned.
  • Paid ads bidding on DuckTask brand keywords. Bidding on "DuckTask login", "DuckTask sign up", etc. is treated as brand cannibalisation and the affected referrals will be voided.

Realistic earnings from referrals

Casual referral activity (sharing with friends, occasional Reddit comments) tends to produce a small but real long-tail income — single-digit dollars per active referral per month. Serious creators with a YouTube channel or TikTok focused on earning content can earn substantially more, because each video brings in dozens of new referrals at once.

Two compounding effects matter most:

  • Total active referrals. 50 referrals each earning $5/month produces more income than 5 referrals each earning $50/month, because the chance that all 5 keep earning every month is much lower than 50 of them having at least some activity.
  • Referral retention. Inviting people who actually want to earn beats inviting whoever you can. A friend who quits after one task earns you nothing; a friend who keeps a daily streak running for months earns you commission every time they collect.

Frequently asked questions

Can I refer myself with a second account?

No. DuckTask actively detects self-referrals via device fingerprint, IP, payout method, browser entropy, and account graph signals. Self-referrals get voided and the second account can be banned.

Can I refer a family member who shares my IP?

Yes, but expect a manual review. Two real people on the same household IP is fine; the review just confirms the second account is genuinely independent (different name, different payout method, different browser, different activity pattern).

What happens if my referral cheats?

If a referral is banned for fraud, all commission earned from that referral is reversed. This is the protective flip side of "lifetime commission" — it has to be revocable, or cheaters could pay themselves through fake referrals.

Is there a minimum to withdraw referral earnings?

Referral commission lands in your normal balance, so the same withdrawal rules apply: a one-time $7.50 lifetime-earned threshold on your first-ever cashout (gone after that), then only per-method minimums on every later withdrawal. See the payout methods guide for details.
